WHOSE! Jesus, it’s not that complicated, people…
Dont you think eating something so adorable is slightly evil?
Of course
I’d gladly go to hell if I got to eat this.
I WANT ONE! But I don’t know that I could eat the little kitty. He looks so happy and relaxed! I’ll eat around him…
I have qualms about eating rice kitty. o_o
i don’t know if i could eat that adorable kitty xD! it looks so happy!
It is a little twisted when you think about it.
Kitty just lays back and relaxes as you devour his stomach and limbs…
Enough, there might be lil childrenz aboutz
Maybe it’s from the Restaurant at the End of the Universe.
*Hee hee!*
Don’t worry – he was humane!
Gotcha! ;-} Dunno if anyone else did.
“Hey, Earthman, what’s eating you?”
(vomits in his mouth a bit)
This is the bento equivalent of this! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Bmhjf0rKe8
i’m not so sure i would want to eat this bento box. neat though!
It looks like Chi from the Chi’s Sweet Home http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sO0hwNQKUf8
Yes, it’s CHii.
Also, what are the legs, arms and ears made out of? fondant? cheese? marshmallow?
The white arms, legs, etc. = tofu
The pink pieces = dyed pink tofu
The black pieces = seaweed
All cut into shapes with xacto knife or something of that nature…
The pink is actually the compact type of ham, not tofu. Imho at least.
The seaweed is best cut with scissors.
The white and pink are both “kamaboko”. It is made from fish and is sold in dome-shaped cakes which are white in the center with pink on the outside.

The texture is slightly rubbery and the flavor is mild. It’s often used in these artistic obentos which are very popular in Japan just now.
As the creater i shall tell you the truth.
It is ham. for the pink bits. not tofu. not kamaboko.
Ham. Well done Bia.
It’s a bento of Chii!! The adorable kitten from the equally adorable anime/manga Chii’s Sweet Home. :3
Yay, another Chii fan!!
rice kitty riiiice kitty….
Ahh, kawaii, ne?
so desu ne!
There’s a website full of these elaborate o-bentous. Very similar style.

Enjoy.
when i made it it kept braking… so i kinda had to glue it together with flour mixed with awter… :S
but it tasted srumdidly umptiouce
I make sushi for a living and co-worker and I are going to make one as soon as we get a moment when we are not rolling sushi or preparation. I may have to make it on off time. Did u use color tofu for ears?
No, kamaboko.
wat do u know. :l
I used that strange thick ham stuff which is very unaperizing but it tastes fine
This is Chi, the main character in “Chi’s Sweet Home”, an adorable Japanese manga about a kitten and the family that adopts her.
Japanese moms love making bento boxes with amazing replicas of their kids favorite characters.
You know with a little soy, that kitty could be pretty delish!
Meep.
…I would not be able to eat that. At all. I would stare at it, chopsticks quivering, sob, and shove it aside. In response to questioning looks I’d be bound to get, I’d point dramatically at it and yell, “HOW COULD ANYONE EAT SOMETHING THIS ADORABLE?!” (I have a great weakness for cats and simply cannot see them ever come to harm, whether they’re real cats or rice cats.)
What i did was eat everything around it, then i covered it in cling film and pured plaster over it to make a mold, took it off, ate the kittty >:D then filled the mold up.
