It is a little twisted when you think about it.

Kitty just lays back and relaxes as you devour his stomach and limbs…

It looks like Chi from the Chi’s Sweet Home http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sO0hwNQKUf8

  10. Amy says:

Also, what are the legs, arms and ears made out of? fondant? cheese? marshmallow?

    • stacyleed says:

The white arms, legs, etc. = tofu
The pink pieces = dyed pink tofu
      The black pieces = seaweed
All cut into shapes with xacto knife or something of that nature…

      • Bia says:

The pink is actually the compact type of ham, not tofu. Imho at least.

The seaweed is best cut with scissors. :)

        • Tokyomama says:

The white and pink are both “kamaboko”. It is made from fish and is sold in dome-shaped cakes which are white in the center with pink on the outside.
          http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kamaboko
The texture is slightly rubbery and the flavor is mild. It’s often used in these artistic obentos which are very popular in Japan just now.

      • Issie says:

As the creater i shall tell you the truth.

It is ham. for the pink bits. not tofu. not kamaboko.
        Ham. Well done Bia.

  15. Issie says:

when i made it it kept braking… so i kinda had to glue it together with flour mixed with awter… :S
but it tasted srumdidly umptiouce :D

  16. Bia says:

This is Chi, the main character in “Chi’s Sweet Home”, an adorable Japanese manga about a kitten and the family that adopts her.

Japanese moms love making bento boxes with amazing replicas of their kids favorite characters.

  17. hGr says:

You know with a little soy, that kitty could be pretty delish!

  18. Jasper says:

…I would not be able to eat that. At all. I would stare at it, chopsticks quivering, sob, and shove it aside. In response to questioning looks I’d be bound to get, I’d point dramatically at it and yell, “HOW COULD ANYONE EAT SOMETHING THIS ADORABLE?!” (I have a great weakness for cats and simply cannot see them ever come to harm, whether they’re real cats or rice cats.)

    • Issie says:

What i did was eat everything around it, then i covered it in cling film and pured plaster over it to make a mold, took it off, ate the kittty >:D then filled the mold up.
