Er, no. The Stay Puft marshmallow brand existed before Ghostbusters, and their advertising icon was indeed the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man.

Yep, I know it shows my age, but what made it soooo funny in Ghostbusters was the fact that it was a familiar, comforting logo. Turned horribly, horribly wrong. Yes, so funny, and so wrong. (now I’m showing my age!)
