I doubt it. I think it’s more like southern China, where Traditional Chinese is used. Because if this is from Taiwan, that would make the large cone, $20 TNW, only 63 cents USD. It would make more sense for that large cone to be $20 RMB, which makes it $2.95 USD.
Oops typo. Taiwanese New Dollar should be TWD, not TNW.
Stupid sherri. Taiwan DOES use traditional characters. And this IS in TAIWAN because there FOOD IS CHEAP.
You have several commenters already saying that they;ve had this FIRST HAND in TAIWAN but your logic based on WESTERN food prices and inability to DISTINGUISH TRADITIONAL AND SIMPLIFIED characters while EXPOUNDING ON THEM WITH A PEDANTIC FIT pisses me off.

I spent half of my life in Taiwan, and I am pretty sure this is in Taiwan. an ice cream cone like that kinda stuff costing 20NTD (which stands for New Taiwan Dollar) is actually VERY common.

this may surprise you, but it is indeed that cheap. If it was any more then 20NT no one in Taiwan would want it. And I know this from experience (since I’ve actually purchased and ate this thing.
I can tell you that’s from Taiwan (not Beijing which is in China), and it’s not that great. It’s basically a mix of a dab or cream with a lot of water and ice. It is not iceCREAM cone, more like ice cone

It’s not that good, but it’s fun to eat.
Notice that the cone is wrapped with a plastic bag because it melts veryyy fast ! There’s no cream, it’s more like ice.
Usually people stay there to eat the ice cream and then they wash their hands by the shop’s tape.
You can found them @ Danshuei which is a beautiful place not so far from Taipei.
Heard that if you drop it on the floor, you’ll get a fine by the police … O_o
